The Marine Iguana

As part of our topic on Charles Darwin, we found out that the marine iguanas of the Galapagos are the only sea-going lizards in the world. They were originally land iguanas that journeyed across the Pacific and over a very long time, they adapted to become the marine iguanas of the Galapagos. They are amazing animals and they can be seen nowhere else on Earth.

We loved learning all about them and we were fascinated by the way they adapted to their new surroundings. We hope you like our double page spreads!
