Reservoir Trip

At the start of the week, our Year 5 and 6 classes visited Harrington Nature Reserve. The children were led by our amazing Workington Nature Partnership Officer, Raegan, who talked to the children about the changes to our local reservoir over time, the river flowing through it, all the while showing them the wildlife and wildflowers surrounding it.

5LJ were fortunate enough to visit on a beautiful crisp morning. As they walked, the children were able to follow where they were on a map. This enabled them to see the path of the river running through the reservoir from a bird’s eye view. Not only this, but they were able to see for themselves the features a river and the effects water has upon the land surrounding it.
